Start of construction of the first plastics recycling facility

We laid the foundation for further progress through the testing of the first ENESPA Wastx P1000. The ongoing test operation of the facility is the basis for the approval procedure, for testing the feeding systems, for obtaining quotations for the final product and for optimising performance.

Final feed system for the 8-module facility
The feed systems were arranged differently based on the findings from the test operation of the first ENESPA Wastx P1000. The daily container now sits between the modules and serves two P1000 modules. The mill is designed to be correspondingly larger and is equipped with an automatic feeder with a metal detector and a magnet. For the 8-tonne facility, the feed is enhanced with a conveyor system that feeds the plastic bales to the mill independently.

From the mill, the waste is then fed into two horizontally-arranged centrifuges. These dry the material further and free it from impurities. The resulting impurities are automatically removed and returned to a recycling plant.

Construction of the 8 ENESPA Wastx P1000 modules
The eight modules to complete the test facility are also under construction in parallel with the feed systems. Findings from the test operation of the first module are incorporated with minor modifications. A test operation lasting several days is carried out before delivery for each individual module.

Approval procedure and assembly of the unit at the first test site
The approval process is running simultaneously with all the work. The necessary papers were already being continuously drawn up with the various departments during the process. New requirements were constantly introduced, which made a variety of new laboratory analyses necessary. At the beginning of June, we will submit the complete documents to the District Office. The District Office will need 6 weeks to review them.

ENESPA AG will generate positive cash flow starting with the first investment. By operating several facilities simultaneously, revenues increase disproportionately and, accordingly, so does the value of the company. There is great demand for this technology. 18 locations in Germany are interested in operating a facility at this time.

The business development fund of the Schwarze Pumpe Industrial Park is very interested in the ENESPA project. Following a thorough investigation, the responsible development bank declared the project eligible for funding. The project will be supported by the development bank once the approval process is completed. The approval process is in progress. (As of July 2020)

The aim is for the first 5,000 kg/day facility in the industrial park to be commissionedby the end of 2020. As soon as this facility is in reliable operation, ENESPA will build another ten facilities and then gradually expand to forty facilities. The ten facilities are expected to be fully operational by the end of 2021.
